i was watching the Passion of Christ the other day. I dont remember seeing locusts or pork on any dinner scene.
also, on the point of "religious Jew" versus "just jews", i wonder - those Jewish priests, would one consider them to be religious or "just a Jew"? and those who believed in the Jewish priests and egged Pontius whatever to persecute JC, are they just a Jew or a religious Jew?
btw - in rural thailand - eg like Kanchanaburi - locusts are staples too.
